The starting point for the website redesign
Verdiks and G-Works began their journey together in 2019, when the company—which was then operating under the Urbaser brand—underwent a website redesign. Following corporate acquisitions in 2023, the company’s name changed to Verdiks and its visual identity was updated. The timing was right for a website redesign, as the company wanted to implement the new visual identity on the site.
As a fun side note, Altti, who served as the lead developer, got to redesign the Verdiks website for the second time. The previous redesign of the Verdiks website was one of Altti’s first projects at G-Works.

Website design and visual elements
In addition to the new visual identity, the website redesign focused on making information easy to find and ensuring a clear site structure. As a basis for the design, G-Works designer Joona received Verdiks’ new graphic guidelines and other materials. The first layout drafts were already well on track in terms of the desired visual direction, and the design process progressed smoothly through several rounds of revisions toward the final layouts. Images always play a major role on a website, and it was great to be able to use Verdik’s fresh brand photos right from the design phase of the new site. The icons from the icon family designed by G-Works for the previous site were incorporated into the new site with some subtle visual adjustments.

Jobilla integration and other features
The website was technically built using the WordPress content management system, with which the Verdik project team was already familiar. The technical implementation also took into account the possibility of the site being used in the future by other Nordic companies within the group.
The site was integrated with the Jobilla recruitment service. Thanks to this integration, Verdik’s job postings are automatically transferred from Jobillaan to the website, and job seekers can conveniently apply for positions directly from the “Apply” button on the website’s job posting page. Communication plays an important role on the site, and sections for news and testimonials were added.

The final result
At the project’s wrap-up meeting, both the G-Works and Verdik project teams were satisfied with the final result. Verdik’s new brand now has a website that does it justice, one that can be cost-effectively developed further in the future in line with Verdik’s goals and needs. As usual, G-Works’ maintenance team, Respa, will handle security updates and other maintenance tasks for the new website after its launch.
The G-Works project team—Valtteri, Joona, and Altti—would like to thank the Verdik team once again for another enjoyable and smooth-running project.
