Finnish National Theatre

The Finnish National Theatre is an artistic theater whose repertoire features the latest Finnish plays, the most interesting foreign plays, and the best classics. The values that guide the Finnish National Theatre’s work are artistic excellence, dialogue, and equality. The Finnish National Theatre is the theater of theaters, and while we are proud of all our work, creating this website specifically for the Finnish National Theatre was a tremendous honor.

Starting Points

Toward the end of 2017, G-Works had a special occasion. G-Works had been selected for the prestigious task of redesigning the website of Finland’s oldest theater, the Finnish National Theatre, which was founded back in 1872.

In taking on this project, G-Works would not only be building a website, but would also be becoming part of the Finnish National Theatre’s long, distinguished, and ongoing history.

Objectives

The Finnish National Theatre had very clear criteria for selecting its partner, as well as for the expectations it set for G-Works. The partner was expected to bring its own vision to the website’s design and demonstrate a strong track record in delivering accessible web services.

Solution

The website was built using WordPress technology, with selected parts of the site integrated into the Lippu.fi service via an API. The design focused on clarity and usability, while still paying homage to current web design trends and modern aesthetics.

The site serves numerous theater enthusiasts every day, providing them with a window into the theater’s extensive offerings and vibrant community.
