Current situation and objectives
Scanfil contacted G-Works regarding website development and maintenance. The goal was to find a long-term partner who would comprehensively handle the site’s various updates, optimizations, and further development going forward. It was also clear from the start that the site would require a major refactoring project to address any functional errors and bring technical updates up to date.
In the competitive bidding process for a website provider, G-Works was ultimately selected as the partner. Factors influencing the decision included G-Works’ genuine interest in Scanfil’s vision and its proactive approach to website development areas even during the bidding phase.

Website audit
At the start of the collaboration, G-Works conducted a comprehensive audit of Scanfil’s website, thoroughly reviewing both the technology and the user interface. The findings and areas for improvement identified during the audit were compiled into a report, which was presented and submitted to Scanfil. The report also included our proposed solutions, along with estimated time requirements, for each area of the site requiring improvement.
Refactoring project
The issues on the website identified during the audit—as well as those already known to the client—were corrected as part of a refactoring project. In addition, several improvements were made to the site to enhance its speed and usability. Naturally, the site’s technology was also updated to the latest versions of WordPress, its plugins, and PHP. The project was completed in 1.5 months, following the audit report step by step. Scanfil was kept continuously updated on the progress of the work. Finally, a final report was compiled summarizing the work performed.

A more reliable website
The refactoring project achieved its objectives. Major updates were made to the website’s technology, which improved its security and made it more reliable. Usability issues on the site were also fixed. Both formatting and lint validation were implemented in the project’s code. This aided development efforts both during the refactoring phase and in future development work. Thanks to formatting and syntax checking, latent errors on the site are detected before they reach production.
Continuous development
The refactoring project laid a solid foundation for continuous website development.
In the early stages of the project, an automation pipeline for continuous delivery was configured for the site. When code changes are committed to version control, the automation handles the site’s deployments and versioning.
Since the project’s completion, G-Works has been responsible for maintenance updates and further development of Scanfil’s website. Agreed-upon enhancements are made to the website on a monthly basis, ensuring that the site remains at the forefront of the web industry.
Testimonial
Service requests are often addressed within a few hours, and our needs are usually met by the end of the same day. We have been very satisfied with our collaboration. Few companies are able to offer a customer experience like this.
